About The VB6 Audio CD Burner is an ActiveX (OCX) component designed for developers using Visual Basic 6 / Visual Studio 6. It enables the burning of an Audio CD from various audio file formats.
This OCX component has been completely rewritten in 2023 using pure VB6 code, and the source code is available. It is compatible with both old and new Windows operating systems. The benefits include being a Dot NET library, allowing users to burn an Audio CD from standard WAV files. It provides features such as retrieving installed CD devices, opening/closing the CD door, adding/removing files to burn, obtaining information about the files, monitoring the burning progress, and supporting many relevant events. The component also incorporates built-in threads handling for improved performance and safe exit functionality.
The VB6 Audio CD Burner can be utilized as a library, offering ease of use and well-documented examples in C# and VB .NET. It significantly reduces development time by up to 80%. Users can simply drop the library control into their forms and immediately start working with it. The source code of this library is accessible and licensed under the MS-PL, allowing its usage in commercial products.

Instructions
- Download the VB6AudioBurner
- Extract the compressed file.
- Run the Install.bat as Administrator in order to register the component.
- Run the Example.
